Testing Reveals an Average of 45% Time Savings

Performance testing analyzed the effectiveness of SMART. Technicians with varying experience were each given descriptions of four discrepancies. They were to write their own procedures and perform the associated work steps using both the conventional Manual Method and the SMART Method.

The above graph illustrate the average time the group spent performing the Manual Method and the SMART Method. SMART average time savings was 45%.
